Chocolate and Peanut Butter Cookies

Blogging is real hardwork and it does take a lot of  patience and time . I am saying this because I had made a batch of this cookie dough and froze half of it and baked the other half . I was too lazy to take pics of the cookies and didn't bother with it as I had another batch left in the freezer . I have to tell you guys one thing , my hubby and my two kids are BIG TIME cookie lovers , they are all over by the time it is out of the oven . So the first batch was gone and I wanted to put this in the blog so I baked the next batch and left it out to cool and boy , what a mistake that was , it was all over by the time I came to take the pics and I saw my daughter having the last piece , I didnt think of anything else I just snatched it out of her mouth and finally got a pic , even though it is half eaten . By the way the cookies were wonderful , it was chewy and gooey so here goes ....

INGREDIENTS

200 gms butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp vanilla essence
1 egg
50 gms dark chocolate melted
1 tbsp smooth peanut butter
1 cup of peanut and chocolate swirled chips

METHOD

Cream the butter and the sugars till light and fluffy
Add the egg and vanilla essence and beat well
Add the melted chocolate and the peanut butter
Sift the dry ingredients and add them in .
Now stir in the chips .
Chill the dough in the fridge for about 15-20 min.
Roll the dough into discs and bake in a preheated 180 c oven for about 20-24 min
Cool on wire rack if there is any left to cool ;) .

  2. Your post is so true and near to my heart. Blogging is fun and you meet so many nice people and wish that they all were able to be your next door neighbor. Oh, what fun that would be! Blogging is patience and time and having the camera ready when the food is out of the oven and plated! My son walks into the kitchen and says, "Can I take a piece?". I am grateful that he asks first. It is fun though having our kids enjoy what we make. That is a blessing.
The cookies look wonderful. The fact that there are none left is a statement to just how wonderful they were! Blessings, Catherine xox
